Fayetteville, N.C. -- The men had a tough outing in their first match of the season, falling 9-0 to the Monarch of Methodist. The young team fought hard but the experienced firepower of Methodist was just too much.
The women were able to secure two victories, both coming from freshman Christina Harris. Harris took down Methodist's #1 Ashton Walker, 6-4, 6-4 before joining forces with Halle Lavieri to capture a point in doubles, winning 8-4.
"This was a great learning experience for our young team and we are sure to see them develop for the next match", said Director of Tennis Christopher Clarke.
