Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg Men's Tennis team triumphed over Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday, earning their second conference victory of the season, 5-4. The Men earned victories in two of the three doubles matches but could not finish off the Marlins as the match was tied at 4-4 with the #1 singles match still going.
Freshman Juan Borga went up 5-2 in the first set but could not finish off his opponent, falling in the first set in a tiebreaker but the young Hornet bounced back and won the second set in another thrilling tiebreaker. The final set was not looking promising as Borga went down 4-5 but the Argentinian native found a second wind and staged a comeback to win his match and seal the victory for his team.
