Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to visiting Virginia Wesleyan Sunday in home Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.
Sophomore Juan Borga (Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA) earned the lone point for Lynchburg at No. 1 singles, battling to a 6-1, 2-6, 7-5 victory over the Marlins' Paul Gladstone.
Senior Will Nsoesie (Boonsboro, Md.) and junior Nick Savino (Bristol, Conn.) each forced second-set tiebreakers at Nos. 3 and 6, respectively, but neither were able to force a deciding third set.
Lynchburg falls to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in conference play headed into midweek action across town at Randolph on Wednesday, April 11 at 3 p.m.
