Lexington, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat at the hands of defending Old Dominion Athletic Conference champion Washington and Lee Tuesday afternoon.
Sophomore Daniel Christian (Jamestown, N.C.) fared the best for the Hornets, falling 6-1, 6-3, at No. 3 singles to Mitchell Thomas.
Christian and senior Nick Savino (Bristol, Conn.) fought hard at No. 1 doubles, dropping an 8-3 match to the Generals' Thomas and Bobby Neuner.
Lynchburg (4-4, 1-1 ODAC) will continue ODAC play at Hampden-Sydney Sunday, March 24. The match has been moved ahead to a noon start.
