Greensboro, N.C. -- University of Lynchburg's men's tennis team battled to an 8-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference loss Wednesday afternoon at Guilford.
Seniors Brad Carson (Severna Park, Md.) and Nick Savino (Bristol, Conn.) picked up Lynchburg's lone point on the day with an 8-6 win at No. 3 doubles.
Sophomore Vincent Oliver (Springfield, Va.) fared the best in singles play at No. 5, falling 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (7) to GC's Tim Thompson.
The Hornets (6-7, 3-4 ODAC) will hit the road again Saturday, April 6 for a 2:30 p.m. conference match at Virginia Wesleyan.
