Hampden Sydney, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's men's tennis team wrapped up the 2019 season Tuesday with a 5-0 loss at Hampden-Sydney in the quarterfinal round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament.
Lynchburg's No. 3 team of sophomore Vincent Oliver (Springfield, Va.) and senior Brad Carson (Severna Park, Md.) fared the best, falling 8-4, as H-SC swept through doubles play.
The Tigers took points at No. 3 and No. 6 singles to ice the win. Carson took three games in the first set at the sixth flight before falling 6-0 in the second set.
Senior Bryce Barber (Evington, Va.) took a 6-0, 6-1 loss at No. 3.
The Hornets finish the season with an 8-10 record and were the No. 7 seed in the league championship bracket. They will await the announcement of the all-conference teams early next week.
