Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg men's tennis took care of Randolph 7-2 Friday afternoon.
In Lynchburg's first matchup with the WildCats since April 11, 2019, the Hornets jumped out to a quick lead in doubles play. Cooper Brewen and Christian Kumar beat their No. 3-doubles opponents 8-0.
Carter McCleary and Andrew Freeman added another point with a win at No. 2, and Levi Vigdorchik and Colton Mullins won 8-5 at No. 1.
Lynchburg won four more matches in singles play. Vigdorchik won his fifth singles match of the season with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the first flight. Brewen won by the same scores at No. 5. Kumar did not drop a game at the sixth flight, and McCleary won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4.
Lynchburg kicked off a busy three-match weekend by beating the WildCats for the third-consecutive match.
The Hornets (4-5, 2-2 ODAC) visit Guilford on Saturday, Apr. 2 at 2 p.m.
