Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Josh Gjormand, Logan Webster, and Riley O'Donovan combined for 14 RBI as the fifth-ranked University of Lynchburg baseball team drubbed Greensboro, 29-7, at home Wednesday afternoon.
Gjormand went 5-for-7 with three doubles and a triple and drove in a career-high six runs, while Webster hit a two-run home run in the first inning and finished 3-for-4. O'Donovan was 2-for-4 with four RBI. Cameron Lane doubled thrice out of the leadoff spot.
Webster's homer sparked a five-run Hornets outburst in the first, and Lynchburg proceeded to score in every inning but the fifth and seventh en route to the biggest win of the season.
Right-hander Wesley Arrington earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs over five innings of work. He struck out two and walked three. Lefties Angel Collazo and Tommy Preston turned in scoreless innings out of the bullpen, and both struck out two.
Lynchburg (24-6) will return to Old Dominion Athletic Conference play Saturday with a doubleheader at Guilford.
