Ashland, Va. -- University of Lynchburg men's tennis dropped its final match of the season with a 7-2 loss to Randolph-Macon.
Levi Vigdorchik played a part in both of Lynchburg's points. First, he teamed up with Carter McCleary at No. 1 for the seventh time this season and won 8-5. The junior also won his 10th singles match of the season as he played to a 6-1, 6-3 victory at the first flight. Vigdorchik ends the regular season with 18 wins across singles and doubles action.
However, the Hornets dropped the rest of their matches. Colton Mullins and Jackson Scott played close match at the third-doubles flight, but lost in a tiebreaker. Brewen fell in singles play 4-6, 1-6, and Scott lost at No. 6 by scores of 1-6 and 2-6. McCleary lost at the second flight, Cooper Brewen fell at No. 4, and Christian Kumar lost 4-6, 0-6 at No. 5.
The Hornets (4-10, 2-7 ODAC) sit in 10th place of the conference standings, and the top-eight teams make the conference tournmanet.
