Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg men's tennis lost 8-1 to Virginia Wesleyan Sunday afternoon.
Levi Vigdorchik earned Lynchburg's only point at the first-singles flight. He won the first set 6-3 and dropped the second. He grabbed his eighth singles win of the season in a tiebreaker. Vigdorchik is undefeated in conference action at the top flight.
Vigdorchik teamed up with Colton Mullins at No. 1 doubles but lost 5-8. Andrew Freeman and Carter McCleary fell at the second flight, and Cooper Brewen and Christian Kumar lost 1-8 at No. 3.
Mullins dropped a match at No. 2 singles, while Freeman lost 2-6, 3-6 at No. 3. McCleary took four games in his loss at the fourth flight. Brewen and Kumar lost their matches at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
After a packed weekend with three matches, the Hornets (4-7, 2-4 ODAC) have a week off before hosting Hampden-Sydney on Sunday, Apr. 10 at 2 p.m.
