Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's tennis team took down Guilford Saturday afternoon.
With the match being played to clinch, the Hornets sealed the victory 5-2.
Guilford took two points from Lynchburg during doubles competition. Alex Rintoul and Levi Vigdorchik won Lynchburg's only doubles point 8-4 at the top flight.
The Hornets stormed back in singles actions sweeping the top-four courts. Vigdorchik lost the first set 6-7 but bounced back with 6-1, 6-2 decisions.
Emile Paindavoine won in similar fashion at No. 2. He won the second and third sets with scores of 7-6.
Lauren Muhlhause also needed three sets to win at the third flight, and Sebastian Sierra snagged Lynchburg's fifth point at the fourth flight 6-3, 6-1.
The Hornets (7-4, 3-2 ODAC) travel to Newport News, Va. on Sunday, April 2 at 1:30 p.m. for a matchup with Christopher Newport.
