Lynchburg Baseball Announces 2025 Schedule

Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg baseball team and head coach Travis Beazley are excited to roll out the slate of games for the 2025 season.

The Hornets start off their campaign with the NC Wesleyan Tournament in Rocky, N.C. on Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16, where they will face the likes of Spaulding and NC Wesleyan. Following that, Lynchburg heads to Greensboro, N.C. for the D3 Showcase Tournament from Friday, February 21 through Saturday, February 22. At that tournament, the Hornets will take on Cortland, Oswego State, and Marietta.

Lynchburg has one more road matchup against Mary Washington on Wednesday, February 26 before returning home to face York three times, twice on Saturday, March 1 and once more on Sunday, March 2. Two days later, the Hornets square off against Pfeiffer on back-to-back days.

The Lynchburg crew hits the road again on Saturday, March 8 for the team's first ODAC competition of the year in the form of a double-header at Washington and Lee. Following will be away contests against Greensboro on Tuesday, March 11 and Methodist on Wednesday, March 12.

After hosting a double-header against Eastern Mennonite on Saturday, March 15, the Hornets visit Hampden-Sydney on Wednesday, March 19. Lynchburg has three dates on the home field following that competition against Guilford on Saturday, March 22, Randolph-Macon on Tuesday, March 25 and Greensboro on Wednesday, March 26. The Hornets end the month of March with a neutral-site matchup against Roanoke on Saturday, March 29.

Aside from two meetings with Christopher Newport, Lynchburg will face conference opponents for the remainder of the regular season. The Hornets will have home-and-home series with Virginia Wesleyan and Christopher Newport, while completing the second legs of the home-and-home series against Hampden-Sydney and Randolph-Macon. Rounding out the regular season will be home outings against Ferrum and Bridgewater, and away affairs versus Averett and Shenandoah.

The ODAC postseason is set to begin on May 2 and will be hosted at the higher-seed's arena. The conference final four will take place from May 8 through May 11 in Tysons, Va.

Last season, the baseball team took home the ODAC championship title and owned an impressive 37-17 record when all was said and done. The Hornets advanced all the way to the NCAA Championship semifinals before falling to the would-be champions, Misericordia. All three of the Lynchburg performers with the most hits last year return to the squad for the 2025 season: Quinn Madden, Brandon Garcia, and Benton Jones.
