Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's tennis team won their match against Roanoke 8-1 Tuesday afternoon.

Lynchburg captured all three doubles points. At No. 1 doubles, the duo of Levi Vigdorchik and Alex Rintoul won 8-7 (7-1 in tiebreak). At No. 2 doubles, Patricio Zepeda and Sebastian Sierra cruised to an 8-2 victory. At the third flight, Christian Zepeda and Shadi Kallel won 8-3.
In singles action, Vigdorchik played on court one, winning 6-1, 6-3. At No. 3 singles, Sierra won the first set 6-3, and blanked his opponent in the second set. Rintoul played in the fourth flight, winning 6-3, 6-2. Christian and Patricio Zepeda played on courts five and six, respectively. Both played an eight set match, and both won 8-7. Christian Zepeda won his tiebreak 8-6, and Patricio Zepeda won 7-5. Shadi Kallel dropped the sole match for the Hornets in a three-set battle. At No. 2 singles, he took the first set 7-5, but lost the second set 4-6. Ultimately, he fell in the tiebreak 8-10.Â
Lynchburg (9-3, 4-2 ODAC) faces ODAC foes Averett in Danville on Wednesday, Apr. 17 at 2 p.m.Â
