Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg men's tennis team downed Randolph 6-3 on the road Wednesday. 

The Hornets escaped doubles action with two wins at the second and third flights. Dan Hardy and Sebastian Sierra won 8-5 at No. 2, and Shadi Kallel and Patricio Zepeda won 8-3 at No. 3. 

In singles play, the Hornets claimed their three points needed to win and an extra one to put away the WildCats for the sixth straight match. 

Levi Vigdorchik won his third singles bout in a row going three sets but winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. Sierra won a tightly contested match at No. 3 needing a set tiebreaker in the first set and a match tiebreaker to decide the 7-6 (9), 2-6, 1-0 (8) victory. Alex Rintoul won at No. 4, and Patricio Zepeda only dropped two games in his victory on the sixth court. 

Lynchburg (10-4, 5-3 ODAC) hosts Washington and Lee for Senior Day on Thursday, April 25. It will be the final regular-season match of the year for the Hornets with the conference tournament beginning Tuesday, April 30.
