Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's tennis team fell to Randolph 2-7 Saturday afternoon.
Lynchburg dropped all three doubles points. Without Ashley Hair, Lauren Pascadlo and Emma Pinola played together on court one, falling 0-8. Jordan Ottaviano and Reese McAtee fell at the second flight in a close 6-8 match. Elizabeth Horine and Sarah Wood were blanked at No. 3 doubles.
In singles action, Pascadlo was bageled in both sets on the top court. Pinola and Ottaviano played on courts two and three, respectively. Both finished their senior campaigns with a 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 victory. McAtee fell at the fourth flight 5-7, 1-6. Horine fell at No. 5 singles 1-6, 3-6, and Wood dropped her match on court six 3-6, 2-6.
Lynchburg finished the season 10th in the ODAC, missing the postseason tournament for the first time since 2015. The Hornets finished 3-15 on the season and 2-7 in ODAC play. Hair's sophomore campaign is highlighted by a 5-6 record at the top court in singles, where she defeated conference foes in Ferrum, Bridgewater, and Roanoke. The senior doubles duo of Ottaviano and Pinola finished 4-3 in their matches at the second flight. This includes a close 8-7 victory against Va. Wesleyan.
