Forest, Va. -- After scoring braces in each of the University of Lynchburg women's soccer team's wins in conference this past week, and notching a career-best seven points against Averett, Morgan Oliver was tabbed the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday. 

Oliver earns the first ODAC Player of the Week award for the women's soccer squad this season. The Powhatan, Va. native has been on a hot streak, scoring in four consecutive games, and in six of the past seven. In a 2-0 win at Roanoke, she netted both of Lynchburg's goals in the 66th and 79th minutes. That two-goal performance was tied for her collegiate-best in goals and marked her season-high total for points prior to a weekend route at Averett.

Against the Cougars, Oliver tied her goal total from the previous matchup and dished out three assists for seven total points, the most of her career. Her three assists were equal to the sixth most in a single game in program history, tied with 19 other performers that reached that mark in a contest.

The junior leads the Hornets in both goals and assists this season with eight scores and five apples. Her 2.10 points per game this season is the best mark across the ODAC and 27th best throughout the nation in DIII. Additionally, she leads the conference in goals per game, averaging .800 scores per affair.

Oliver and the Hornets continue to build momentum heading deeper into conference play, challenging Virginia Wesleyan at home this Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 6 p.m.
