Men's Tennis Falls to Generals

Box Score Lexington, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's tennis team fell to the #22 Washington and Lee Generals 0-7 Wednesday afternoon.

The Hornets conceded the doubles point after dropping all three doubles matches with a score of 1-6. Junior Alex Rintoul and sophomore Sebastian Soria finished first on court two, followed by the court three junior pairing of Jorge Patricio Zepeda and Dan Hardy. Freshmen Timothee Depaquit and Luca Morbioli finished their match on the top court last.

In singles play, Morbioli dropped his match at the top flight 1-6, 2-6 to Evan Erb, the 44th ranked player in the nation. Soria fell on court two 1-6, 0-6. Sierra lost both sets 1-6 on court three. Rintoul, slotted at the fourth seed, fell 0-6, 2-6. Depaquit dropped his match on court five 0-6, 4-6. Zepeda dropped his match on the bottom court 0-6, 1-6.

The Hornets (7-3, 2-3 ODAC) face Randolph at home in a Hill City showdown on Saturday, Apr. 12 at 2 p.m.
