Waco, Texas -- Senior standouts
Lucy Metzler and
Fallyn Belcastro were honored as Ariat All America Team members from the National Collegiate Equestrain Association, announced on Tuesday evening.
Following a terrific season filled with records, awards, and MOPs, Metzler earned a spot on the Ariat NCEA All-America First Team for Flat, and Belcastro claimed places on the Ariat NCEA All-America Second Team for Flat and was an honorable mention for Fences.
The two seniors are the first student-athletes in program history to be named either first or second team All-Americans. Both have had spectacular 2024-25 campaigns thus far. Both Belcastro and Metzler were named ODAC Riders of the Year this season, Belcastro in Fences and Metzler in Flat. In the conference championship meet against Sweet Briar, Metzler was awarded the MOP in the flat.
The top five riders across the country per event were selected and named the Ariat First-Team All-America by the NCEA Selection Committee. The next five riders per event earned Second Team honors.
