Lynchburg, Va. -- The top-five nationally ranked University of Lynchburg baseball team has been selected to host an NCAA Division III Tournament Regional round, announced by the NCAA on Monday.

The four-team regional includes Marymount (VA), Emory, and Maryville (TN). Games are set to be played from Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18 in a double-elimination format. To start the group of games, Emory will square off against Maryville on Friday at 10 a.m., followed by a matchup between Lynchburg and Marymount on Friday at 1:30 p.m.

The No. 5 Hornets (38-7) earned an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament after winning its third straight ODAC Championship title this past weekend, taking down Randolph-Macon in the second game of the championship series, 7-3. Lynchburg has claimed the conference title in four of the last five seasons.
