Greenwood, Ind. -- Four student-athletes from the University of Lynchburg softball team have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team: Emily Charlton, Alyssa Talayumptewa, Kailey Dorcsis, and Madison Barnes.
The CSC Academic All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined excellence on the field and in the classroom. Honorees must be at least sophomores academically, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and contribute significantly as a starter or key reserve.
Each of the four Hornets earned repeat honors, with Charlton and Dorcsis collecting their third consecutive Academic All-District selections.
The pitching duo of Charlton and Dorcsis have also been named finalists for Academic All-America honors and now advance to the national ballot, which will be voted on by CSC members.
