Eastlake, Ohio -- University of Lynchburg pitcher
Tyler Kaltreider was appointed a 2025 Second Team All-American by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), announced on Thursday night at the opening ceremony of the NCAA DIII College World Series.
Days after receiving the ABCA/Rawlings Region 6 Pitcher of the Year Award and ABCA/Rawlings First Team All-Region honors, Kaltreider earns All-American status. The 2025 ODAC Pitcher of the Year gets his first All-American nod of his collegiate career after finishing in the upper echelon in multiple statistical categories.
He finished 13th in the country in strikeout-to-walk ratio at 7.31 and total strikeouts with 95. Kaltreider completed the season with a 2.68 ERA and was atop the conference in WHIP at 1.05 and walks given per nine innings at 1.20. Kaltreider is the first All-American selection to the first through third teams for the Hornets since 2023, when the baseball squad had Zach Potts and
Jack Bachmore earned the honors in 2023. Last season,
Quinn Madden was named an ABCA/Rawlings Fourth Team All-American.
