Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg baseball team had five student-athletes earn places on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams for the 2024-25 academic year.
The five Hornets that were honored on the CSC Academic All-District Team were
Sean Pokorak,
Logan Tapman,
Benton Jones,
Brandon Garcia, and
Colin McGuire. Jones was tabbed as a finalist for the Academic All-American Team, which will be voted on by CSC members and announced on July 1, 2025.
To land on the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50-or-better and be at least a sophomore academically. Additionally, baseball selections were required to compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or
 pitched 35 innings.Â
McGuire and Pokorak claim their first Academic All-District selections while Tapman, Jones and Garcia earn their second Academic All-District honors of their collegiate career.Â
