Women's Basketball Announces 2025-26 Schedule

Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's basketball team and head coach Allison Nichols are excited to release the schedule of games for the 2025-26 season.

The Hornets kick off their regular season campaign on the home court when Marymount visits Turner Gymnasium on Saturday, Nov. 8. Following the first counted contest of the season, Lynchburg travels to Rocky Mount, N.C. for the NC Wesleyan Tournament from Saturday, Nov. 15 through Sunday, Nov. 16. 

The squad will return to Turner Gym just a few days later to take on the William Peace Pacers on Tuesday, Nov. 18. The first conference competition of the season will be in Lexington, Va. against Washington and Lee on Saturday, Nov. 22.

After a home bout against Meredith on Sunday, Nov. 30, Lynchburg will host Hollins on Wednesday, Dec. 3. The Hornets will have a string of nonconference outings before returning to ODAC action, taking on the like of Mary Washington on Sunday, Dec. 14 and Regent on Tuesday, Dec. 16. To kick off the new year, Lynchburg will meet Johnson & Wales on the hardwood on Friday, Jan. 2, then Emory on Saturday, Jan. 3.

It's conference play the rest of the way, beginning with an away matchup against Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday, Jan. 7. The Hornets have back-to-back home affairs against Averett and Bridgewater on Saturday, Jan. 10 and Wednesday, Jan. 14, respectively.

The two Hornet squads in the ODAC, Lynchburg and Shenandoah, will meet in Winchester, Va. on Saturday, Jan. 17. Following that, the team takes a trip to Salem, Va. to face Roanoke on Wednesday, Jan. 21. Shortly thereafter, the Hornets welcome EMU to Turner Gym on Saturday, Jan. 24 before a Hill City clash against Randolph at the WildCats' place on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

Lynchburg has three consecutive home games between Saturday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 7 against Randolph-Macon, Guilford, and Washington and Lee. The matchup against Guilford will serve as the Hornets' Code Red game. After road games against Hollins on Wednesday, Feb. 11 and Averett on Saturday, Feb. 14, Lynchburg will host its final home competition of the regular season against Roanoke on Wednesday, Feb. 18. The Hornets will close out the regular season at Eastern Mennonite on Saturday, Feb. 21.
