Men's Basketball Releases 2025-26 Schedule

Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's basketball team and head coach Hilliary Scott have unveiled its schedule for the 2025-26 season.

The Hornets will host 12 opponents at Turner Gymnasium, play 10 games on the road, and compete in four neutral-site contests at the Hood College Tournament and the Chatham University Classic.

Lynchburg tips off the new campaign at the Hood College Tournament in Frederick, Md., with two matchups on Nov. 7 and Nov. 8. The three schools participating in the tournament include host Hood, Notre Dame of Maryland, and Catholic. The Hornets face Catholic first, then move to a matchup against either Hood or Notre Dame of MD. Head coach Hillary Scott's squad then returns home to face Pfeiffer (Nov. 13) and Regent (Nov. 15).

The Hornets hit the road for their longest trip of the year immediately afterward, beginning at the Chatham University Classic in Pittsburgh, Pa., Nov. 21-22. Following the Thanksgiving break, Lynchburg travels to Fayetteville, N.C., to challenge Methodist on Nov. 30 before closing the stretch with a crosstown rivalry game at Randolph on Dec. 3.

Conference play resumes Dec. 6 when Bridgewater visits Turner Gymnasium. Lynchburg's final non-conference road contest comes Dec. 13 at Denison in Granville, Ohio, before the Hornets return home to host Randolph and Greensboro in the Wayne Profit Classic on Dec. 16-17, wrapping up their non-conference slate.

January features the heart of the ODAC schedule, with nine games in the month. Lynchburg opens the new year at Randolph-Macon (Jan. 3) and Eastern Mennonite (Jan. 7) before hosting Shenandoah on Jan. 10. Road trips to Virginia Wesleyan (Jan. 14) and Hampden-Sydney (Jan. 17) follow.

The Hornets then split their final four January contests, welcoming Roanoke (Jan. 21) and Guilford (Jan. 28) while traveling to Washington & Lee (Jan. 24) and Bridgewater (Jan. 31).

The regular season concludes in February with five games, four at home: Averett (Feb. 4), Hampden-Sydney (Feb. 11), Eastern Mennonite (Feb. 14), and Virginia Wesleyan (Feb. 21). Lynchburg's lone February road trip is to Roanoke on Feb. 18.
