KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- University of Lynchburg sophomore forward Jamarcus Brown has been named Second Team All-District by the National Association of Basketball Coaches, as voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division III, the organization announced Tuesday, Mar. 17.

Brown becomes the first Hornet to earn All-District recognition since T.C. Thacker in 2021, further cementing his place among the program's recent standouts. 

The Danville, Va native, Brown adds the honor to an already decorated 2025-26 campaign. He was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year and secured First Team All-ODAC honors after emerging as one of the league's most complete players.

Brown's production was as consistent as it was dynamic. He averaged 20.7 points per game while shooting an efficient .568 from the field, showcasing his ability to finish through contact and in transition. He also stretched defenses with a .333 mark from three-point range, adding another dimension to his offensive game.

On the defensive end, Brown proved equally valuable. The high-flying forward averaged 7.4 rebounds per game while anchoring the Hornets' interior presence with 1.7 blocks per contest. His 1.1 steals per game further highlighted his versatility, as he routinely disrupted passing lanes and turned defense into offense.

Brown's All-District selection underscores a breakout season that placed him among the top players in Division III, while also continuing the strong tradition of excellence for University of Lynchburg men's basketball.
