FOREST, Va. -- University of Lynchburg outside hitter Joshua Davis earned the program's first weekly award of the season after his standout performances across five matches this past week.

The Hornets hosted all five contests, posting a 4–1 record during the stretch, including three victories against ODAC opponents.

Following the dominant week on the court, Davis was named ODAC Player of the Week. The outside hitter recorded 78 kills across 18 sets, averaging 4.33 kills per set while hitting .311 on 151 total attempts.

Davis delivered several high-impact performances during the stretch, including 17 kills against Shenandoah and 16 kills in two separate matches. He also produced one of his most efficient outings of the week against Regent, posting a .526 hitting percentage. Defensively, Davis added 23 digs and seven service aces.

The San Diego, California native led Lynchburg in kills in all five matches and recorded a match-high total in four of them. The lone exception came in the Hornets' matchup with Averett, where he finished just one kill shy of the match lead.

Davis' consistent offensive production helped power Lynchburg through a demanding week and earned him recognition as one of the conference's top performers. He becomes just the third player in the brief history of Lynchburg's men's volleyball program to receive an ODAC weekly award.
