Lynchburg Men's Soccer Unveils 2026 Schedule

Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's soccer team and head coach Chris Yeager are thrilled to announce the schedule of matches for the 2026 season.

The Hornets will open the year with two exhibition matches, first at Bridgewater on August 23 before welcoming NC Wesleyan to Shellenberger Field on August 28.

Lynchburg begins its regular-season campaign with six road contests, beginning with a trip to Washington and Lee on September 1. The season-starting match against the Generals will not count towards conference standings, though the Hornets will face off against WLU later in the season at home on October 17, which will count towards the conference record.

The Hornets then travel to Texas for a pair of matches, taking on Texas Lutheran on September 4 and Southwestern on September 6. The road swing continues with a weekend in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, against Maryville (TN) on September 11 and host Covenant on September 12 before wrapping up with a visit to Mary Washington on September 16.

The Hornets return home for a three-match homestand, beginning with the home-opener against Hope on September 19, followed by Salisbury on September 20. Lynchburg closes out the month by hosting Randolph-Macon on September 26 to open ODAC play before traveling to Batten on October 3.

October features a balanced conference schedule with home matches against Hampden-Sydney on October 7, Washington and Lee on October 17, and Roanoke on October 21. The Hornets will travel to Eastern Mennonite on October 10, Shenandoah on October 14, Averett on October 24, and Randolph on October 28 to conclude the regular season.

The ODAC postseason begins with the quarterfinal round on October 31, followed by the semifinals on November 4 and the championship match on November 7. All conference tournament contests will be hosted by the higher seed. NCAA Tournament play is scheduled to begin with the Round of 64 on November 14. The national championship match will take place on December 5 at Kerr Stadium on the campus of Roanoke College.
