WINCHESTER, VA – Junior Lesley Buckingham (Herndon, VA/Herndon) and sophomore Kendall Adkin (New Milford, CT/New Milford) each scored four goals Wednesday evening as the Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team rolled to a 17-4 victory at Shenandoah University.

The Hornets held a 12-4 lead at intermission and outscored SU 5-0 in the second half to put the game out of reach. Buckingham and Adkin each scored three of their goals in the first half, and Adkin added an assist.

Merideth Stuart (Chapel Hill, NC/Pomfret School) had three tallies on the night and Morgan Logue (Barrington, IL/Barrington) and Caroline Kilby (Street, MD/John Carroll School) both found the back of the net twice. Kelsey Johnson (Bel Air, MD/C. Milton Wright) had a goal and an assist.

Four different players scored for Shenandoah (0-2); Sara Mucciaro led the way with a goal and an assist. LC held a 33-7 advantage in total shots and forced 29 SU turnovers.

The Hornets (2-0) host Christopher Newport University Saturday at 4 p.m.
