LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse program earned a pair of academic honors following the 2025-26 academic year, with 10 Hornets named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Academic Honor Roll and 18 student-athletes earning ODAC All-Academic recognition.
The IWLCA honored 1,347 student-athletes from 174 institutions on the 2025-26 Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher.
Lynchburg's 10 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll selections were Emily Clay (business administration), Taylor Daugherty (criminology/criminal forensics), Sydney Dumas (nursing), Mya Hausauer (psychology/fine arts), Virginia Heffernan (sport management/digital media marketing), Carlie Jackson (business administration), Chastity Koerner (business administration), Neely Morris (criminology/criminal forensics), Carmen Nicolás (psychology counseling/criminology) and Emma Timberg (communication studies – electronic media).
The Hornets also placed 18 student-athletes on the ODAC All-Academic Team. To qualify for ODAC All-Academic recognition, a student-athlete must earn a GPA of 3.25 or higher during the academic year.
Lynchburg's ODAC All-Academic honorees included Zoe Adams, Emmy Clay, Taylor Daugherty, Sydney Dumas, Mya Hausauer, Virginia Heffernan, Carlie Jackson, Chastity Koerner, Neely Morris, Carmen Nicolas Almela, Olivia Owings, Elizabeth Poitras, Margaret Scoggin, Madison Stewart, Gabriella Strano, Emma Timberg, Megan Wheeler and Hayli Williams.
