LYNCHBURG, VA – The Roanoke College men's tennis team defeated Lynchburg College 8-1 Friday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match on the LC Courts.

Junior Jim Rochow (Forest, VA/Jefferson Forest) won his match at #3 singles 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 and Brian Nelson (Charlotte, NC/Home School) nearly won at #4 singles, dropping a 7-6 (8-6), 5-7, 10-7 decision.

The Hornets (4-4/2-2 ODAC) are scheduled to travel to Emory & Henry College for another ODAC match Sunday at 2 p.m.
