Lynchburg Women's Lacrosse Blows by Randolph 21-2
Lynchburg, VA— The Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team had a balanced attacking effort on Saturday afternoon as LC defeated Randolph College 21-2 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.
Kat Francis and Sidney Gleason each found the back of the net three times for LC, while Alexa Carey, Alison Truman, Sarah Suter, Maddie Koontz, Haley Lochren, and Caroline Carozza each had two. Laura Meisner, Sarah Fortune, and Alicia Sandoval all contributed one goal to the Hornet scoring effort. Carozza had a game-high five assists, while Meisner and Carey each had one. Rachel Henderson and Truman each picked up four groundballs, while Marissa Dadura, Koontz, Jenny Jones, and Treva Tyson each scooped up two.
Chelsea Marciniak and Taylor Riccardi each had a goal for Randolph, both coming in the first half. Ashton Ewers had 12 saves for RC. The WildCats are now 2-10 overall and 1-3 in ODAC play.
The Hornets (8-3/4-1 ODAC) will return to action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. when they host Randolph-Macon College.
