Women's Lacrosse Bounces Back at Bridgewater, 10-5

The Hornets used four goals from sophomore attackman Alicia Sandoval and lockdown defense in the second half to come out of Bridgewater with a critical ODAC victory with just two games left in the regular season.

Game Breakdown

- The Eagles got on the board first at the 27:29 mark

- Both teams then went into a defensive battle until Sandoval found the back of the net at the 18:19 mark to tie the game for the Hornets

- Senior Alexa Carey would score the next two Lynchburg goals with one assist coming from junior Sidney Gleason to give Lynchburg a 3-1 advantage

- Gleason would make it 4-1 for the Hornets at the 14:06 mark

- Sandoval would complete the 5-0 run at the 13:23 for her second goal of the day to put Lynchburg up 5-1

- Bridgewater would make it a three goal game at 9:22

- Junior Sarah Suter made it 6-2 when junior Alison Truman assisted her at 4:49

- The Eagles would add goals at marks of 3:13 and 2:17 to cut the Lynchburg lead to just two goals

- With a mere 36 seconds left in the half, Sandoval scored her third goal of the day to make it 7-4 

- Senior Laura Meisner would assist Suter for her second goal of the game nine minutes into the second half

- Meisner would be on the scoring end just a minute later after freshman Kelsi Trevisian assisted her to make it 9-4 with 19:48 left in regulation

- Bridgewater would chip in a goal with at the 7:35 mark before Sandoval added her fourth goal of the day to secure a 10-5 victory for the Hornets
