Lynchburg Softball kept its season alive evening after they defeated Randolph 5-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament.
Game Breakdown
- In the second inning, senior Kayla St. John scored freshman Sarah Commons on a fielder's choice
- Junior Skylar Dickens would drive home St. John and senior Lauren Smith in the same inning to put the Hornets up 3-0
- Commons hit a sacrifice fly in the third inning to score senior Jessica Murphy, making it a 4-0 lead
- Yet again, Commons would single to centerfield to score freshman Sarah Ridgeway to put Lynchburg up 5-0 in the fifth inning
- The WildCats would add a run in the seventh inning before Lynchburg sealed the 5-1 victory
- Junior Conner English earned the victory after pitching a complete game while striking out seven Randolph batters.
