Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team celebrated Senior Day with a 20-9 victory over Shenandoah University Saturday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Aonference matchup.
Sophomore attackman Kelsi Trevisan (West Chester, Pa.) and junior attackman Alicia Sandoval (Montclair, Va.) each dominated the net collecting four goals each. Senior midfielder Dorrie MacGregor (Centreville, Md.) won eight draw controls, three goals, and had one assist. Seniors Alison Truman (Kennebunk, Maine) and Sidney Gleason (Dumfries, Va.) each added a goal for Lynchburg.
Prior to the game, Lynchburg celebrated the seven seniors who comprise the Class of 2018.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Lynchburg came out on fire in the first half, taking the lead early. MacGregor got the game rolling with an assist from Carly Sandler (Kennebunk, Maine) followed by an unassisted goal from Trevisan. Lynchburg managed to score six consecutive goals for a comfortable 8-1 lead. Lynchburg ended the half 10-3 after last-minute goals from MacGregor and Gleason.

Shenandoah had a rally going in the second half, bringing the score up 13-8 still in favor of Lynchburg. But Lynchburg pulled it back together and expanded the point gap with seven more goals. Sandoval scored three unassisted goals for LC.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Hornets will enter the ODAC tournament as the No. 3 seed and will play host to sixth-seeded Roanoke in the quarterfinal round Wednesday, May 2. Time of the first draw, along with the full conference tournament bracket, will be announced by the league in the near future.
