Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse team clinched its first home victory of the 2019 season with an 18-7 win over Frostburg State Saturday afternoon.
Junior attackman Kelsi Trevisan (West Chester, Pa.) scored a career-high six goals, finding the back of the net on six of her nine attempts to score.
Senior attackman Alicia Sandoval (Montclair, Va.) earned three goals of her own, assisted five Hornets scores, picked up four ground balls, and caused a pair of turnovers. Senior midfielder Hannah Creasey (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior midfielder Danielle Hook (Alexandria, Va.) also racked up three goals each.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Frostburg managed back-to-back goals in the first few minutes of play. Creasey quickly answered with an unassisted goal and got Lynchburg on the board at the 27:08 mark.

After falling behind 4-2, the Hornets went on a six-point scoring spree to take an 8-4 lead midway through the first half. Senior attackman Kelsey Nock (Salisbury, Md.) and sophomore attackman Korinne LeMaire (Rehoboth Beach, Del.) each scored on free position shots in the rally.

Lynchburg hit another hot streak with five more goals and ended the half with a 13-5 lead over FSU. Trevisan scored three of those five goals with one assist from Sandoval.

Trevisan notched the career-high with the first goal of the second half, and Lynchburg piled on two scores from Sandoval and one each from Hook and Creasey to finish the rout.
LOOKING AHEAD
Next, the Hornets will play host to Gwynedd Mercy on Wednesday, March 6 at 4 p.m. on Shellenberger Field.
