Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team made it three-straight wins Saturday with a 19-0 drubbing of NAIA member Columbia (S.C.).
Junior attackman Carly Sandler (Kennebunk, Maine) led the Hornets with a five-goal, two-assist effort, while senior midfielder Hannah Creasey (Virginia Beach, Va.) and junior attackman Kelsi Trevisan (West Chester, Pa.) each notched hat tricks.
Senior goalie Lauren Bodamer (La Plata, Md.), junior goalie Emmy Yarmy (New Rochelle, N.Y.), and the Hornet defense combined for the team's first shutout since April 1, 2015.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Both defenses held fast in the early going, but Lynchburg took the lead at the 24:37 mark when Sandler scored, unassisted. She added her four other goals before halftime as the Hornets led, 12-0, at the break. Creasey also scored twice in the half.

Lynchburg extended the lead in the second half, scoring seven times, bookended by unassisted goals by senior attackman Alicia Sandoval (Montclair, Va.)
LOOKING AHEAD
Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team will head south to Clearwater, Fla., for Spring Break, where they will take on Swarthmore and Meredith, March 12 and 14, respectively, at the Joe DiMaggio Sports Complex.
