Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Kelsi Trevisan scored four goals, highlighting a stable of 14 University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse players who found the back of the net in Wednesday afternoon's 22-4 season-opening victory over visiting Averett.
Trevisan, a graduate student, tallied all four and both her assists in a big first half. Sophomore Dara Gregory dished out four assists to go with her lone goal, and Leah Dumas, Libby Kennedy, Nicki Santora, Carly Sandler, and Maysn Whitten each scored twice.
Lynchburg (1-0) out-shot the Cougars 37-8.
It was the Hornets' largest margin of victory since a 19-0 win over Columbia (S.C.) on March 9, 2019.
Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team will be back in action Saturday, March 6 at 4 p.m. against Meredith.
