Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Kelsi Trevisan had four goals and an assist, and Nicki Santora scored twice, but it wasn't enough to push the No. 23 University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse team past third-ranked Washington and Lee in Saturday's 16-8 home loss.
Trevisan put the Hornets (3-3, 0-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference) ahead early with a sixth-minute goal, but W&L took the lead with a 3-0 run and never looked back.
The Generals (6-0, 3-0) led 9-4 at halftime and uncorked a 7-0 run to break the game open early in the second half.
Korinne LeMaire and Trevisan scored Lynchburg's final three goals to close the gap. LeMaire notched the goal and three draw controls, while Carly Sandler tallied a goal and an assist for the Hornets. Caelinn Satterfield had four ground balls and caused a pair of turnovers.
Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team will be back in action Wednesday afternoon at 4 with another home ODAC affair, this time against Ferrum.
