Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Alla Daniel, Tori King, and Kelsi Trevisan each logged hat tricks as the 24th-ranked University of Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team got back in the win column Wednesday with a 16-1 win over Ferrum.
The Hornets zipped out to a 5-0 lead midway through the first half before the Panthers took advantage of a man-up opportunity for their lone goal of the game. Lynchburg led 7-1 at the break.
The hosts put the game away with four goals in the first eight minutes of the second half and extended the lead late.
Travisan added an assist and two caused turnovers, while Daniel had two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Dara Gregory scored twice and made two assists, and Micah Slacum caused a game-best three turnovers to go with two ground balls. Maysn Whitten had four ground balls and three draw controls to go with a goal.
Lynchburg (4-3, 1-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference) will continue ODAC play Saturday with a trip to Bridgewater for a 1 p.m. game.
