Box Score Greensboro, N.C. -- Kelsi Trevisan scored five times and Nicki Santora added four more as University of Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team blasted Guilford, 23-3, on the road Wednesday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.
Freshman Tori King got the scoring started for the Hornets just 29 seconds into the game thanks to an assist from Carly Sandler. Sandler finished with a career-high seven assists and a goal of her own. The graduate student became just the third player in program history to log seven or more assists in a game.
Sandler fed King again shortly after for a 2-0 Lynchburg lead, and Trevisan scored the next two Hornet goals in the game's first 10 minutes to assert control early.
Lynchburg started the game on a 15-0 run and led 16-1 at halftime. All five of Trevisan's goals and all four of Santora's came before the half.
King finished with two goals, an assist, and four caused turnovers, while sophomore Karlie Hughes chipped in a pair of goals. Sophomore Alla Daniel had seven ground balls, six draw controls, two assists, and a goal in the game.
Lynchburg (9-4, 5-2 ODAC) will finish the regular season Saturday with a trip to Shenandoah. The winner of the game will carry the No. 3 seed into the upcoming ODAC tournament.
