Box Score Bridgewater, Va. -- Nikki Santora tallied a Texas hat trick, Kelsi Trevisan notched three goals and three assists, and the 24th-ranked University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse team bowled over Bridgewater, 21-8, Saturday afternoon for an Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory.
Santora opened the scoring for the Hornets less than a minute in, taking a feed from Masyn Whitten and finishing for an early lead. In the next two minutes, Trevisan scored her first two goals as the Hornets assumed control early.
Lynchburg (5-3, 2-1 ODAC) scored the game's first 10 goals and led 13-1 at halftime. Santora scored all four of her goals before the midway point.
After the half, Alla Daniel scored the second of her two goals to give the Hornets a 14-1 lead, but Bridgewater responded with five unanswered to cut the deficit to eight. Lynchburg scored seven of the game's last nine goals to open the gap again.
Carly Sandler collected two goals and an assist for Lynchburg, while Karlie Hughes and Jackie Amato each contributed two goals. Daniel added eight draw controls and two caused turnovers to the Lynchburg cause.
The Hornets will face another road test on Wednesday with a trip to Randolph-Macon for a 7 p.m. ODAC contest.
