Ferrum, Va. -- Alla Daniel and Payton Saville each notched hat tricks to help University of Lynchburg's women's lacrosse team to a 13-2 Old Dominion Athletic Conference victory at Ferrum Wednesday evening.

The Hornets rushed out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter and scored thrice more before halftime to take control of the game. After the Panthers opened the second-half scoring, Saville added her second and third goals of the contest and assisted a Reagan Bednar goal to make it 10-1 in Lynchburg's favor after three. The Hornets added three more scores in the final 15 minutes, allowing another to bring the score to its final standing.

Elise Henderson added two goals and five draw controls for the Hornets, while Nicki Santora also scored twice. Daniel assisted a pair of goals to go with the three she scored, and Micah Slacum registered a career-high seven caused turnovers.

Lynchburg improved to 4-8 on the season and 2-2 in ODAC play. The Hornets will put their two-game win streak on the line Friday at 2 p.m. when Shenandoah pays a visit to Shellenberger Field for another key ODAC game.
