Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse senior Libby Kennedy scored twice in the 16-8 loss to St. Mary's (Md.) Friday night.
Kennedy scored the first goal of the evening on an assist from Reagan Bednar.
Lynchburg followed up Kennedey's goal with three more scores. Freshman Sydney Dumas scored two-straight, and Reagan Bradley capped off the run with her first-career goal. Kennedy closed out the first quarter with a goal, and the Hornets led 5-2.
Caelinn Satterfield scored Lynchburg's only goal in the second, and St. Mary's tied things up with four more scores before half.
The Seahawks dominated in the second half outscoring Lynchburg 10-2 in the final 30 minutes. Payton Saville and Bednar scored the only two goals in the second half for Lynchburg.
Alla Daniel picked up three ground balls with two caused turnovers, and Julia Broughton made seven saves.
Lynchburg (0-2) will visit Ohio Wesleyan next on March 4.
