Rome, Ga. -- University of Lynchburg beach volleyball freshman Mady Shirey and Amanda Trapp won both their matches Friday afternoon.
The second-court pairing defeated their LaGrange opponents 21-7, 23-21 and beat their opponents from Berry in three sets.
Shirey and Trapp helped Lynchburg sweep LaGrange, but the Hornets fell 4-1 against Berry.
Kailey Keough and Jordan Palmer won 21-13, 21-11 at the top court against LaGrange.
Mackenzie Ingrassia and Margo Fox needed three sets to win at No. 3. Parker Lynch and Molly Ballew completed the sweep with a 21-14, 21-13 win at No. 4. Lynchburg took a point at the fifth court because LaGrange did not have a pairing to send out.
