Virginia Beach, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's lacrosse team downed Virginia Wesleyan on the road Wednesday evening.

Libby Kennedy and Payton Saville scored hat tricks, MJ Tucker made seven saves, and the Hornets took down the Marlins 14-5. 

Kennedy secured her second four-goal game of the season beginning with a score 4:57 into play. Saville, the other hat trick scorer, bookended the first quarter with her first goal of the game and out the Hornets up 7-0.

Dumas, Saville, Jordan Nilsen, and Kennedy scored in the second period stringing together an 11-0 run for the road team.

Saville capped off the 14-5 win with her third goal of the game. 

Both teams went scoreless for the final 7:15, and Tucker, who earned her third win of the year, was not called on to make a save over that stretch. 

The Hornets (7-9, 5-3 ODAC) sit in fourth place in the conference and await the announcement of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament seedings ahead of the first round on Saturday, April 29.
