Mount Berry, Ga. -- The University of Lynchburg beach volleyball team split with Huntingdon on Saturday. Lynchburg won the first match 4-1 and lost the second match 3-2.
Jordan Palmer and Kailey Keough won both of their matches on the second court. They won in three sets in the first match and won in straight sets in the second.
Mady Shirey also went undefeated on the day with two different partners on the third court. She and Sydney Phillips won in three sets in the 4-1 win to start the day and won 21-19, 21-8 in the 3-2 loss.
Amanda Trapp and SJ Yanz won on the first court to start the day 21-19, 21-19 but lost in three sets in their second match of the day.
Virginia Zalinski and Kassie Menard won 21-17, 21-15 in the first match of the day.
Lynchburg (7-7, 13-9 overall) matched its overall win total from its inaugural season in 2023. The Hornets host their first matches of the season beginning Friday, March 29.
