Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's tennis team fell to Virginia Wesleyan 6-3 on Sunday afternoon.
Emma Pinola and Jordan Ottaviano won Lynchburg's sole doubles point with an 8-7 (6) victory on the second court.
In singles action, that doubles pair won their matches to go undefeated on the day. Pinola won on the third court in two close matches, and Ottaviano won at No. 5 in three sets. The duo was responsible for all of Lynchburg's wins on the day in the loss. Lauren Pascadlo played with Ashley Hair on the first-double court. Pascadlo played at the first-singles flight, and Hair played at No. 2. Elizabeth Horine and Reese McAtee teamed up at No. 3 doubles. Horine didn't play during the singles matches, but McAtee suited up at No. 4. Emily Wrenn rounded out Lynchburg's lineup at No. 6.
Lynchburg (2-7, 1-3 ODAC) hosts Bridgewater at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3 .
