Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's tennis team fell to Roanoke 3-6 Tuesday afternoon.
Lynchburg dropped all three doubles matches. Ashley Hair and Emma Pinola fell at No. 1 doubles 2-8. Jordan Ottaviano and Reese McAtee fell at No. 2 doubles 3-8. Sarah Wood and Elizabeth Horine lost their match at No. 3 doubles 1-8.
In singles action, Hair won her match on court one 6-3, 6-3. At No. 2 singles, Pinola dropped her match 2-6, 2-6. In the third flight, Ottaviano was blanked in the first set, and lost the second 2-6. McAtee prevailed in her match on court four 6-2, 6-4. Horine only won one game in her match at No. 5 singles. Wood picked up her first victory in collegiate competition, winning 8-7 (7-4 in tiebreak) on court six.
Lynchburg (2-14, 1-7 ODAC) will face Hollins on Sunday, Apr. 21 at 2 p.m.
