Lynchburg, Va --- The Lynchburg Hornets (2-0) take the hardwood in Turner Gymnasium for the first time against Virginia Wesleyan (0-0), on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 6 p.m. 

The Hornets enter this affair after picking up their first two wins of the season on the road. Lynchburg took down Mount Aloysius and Wilson College in three-set sweeps. Freshman right-side hitter Nick Redding led the team in points and kills in the opening pair of contests, collecting 24 and 21 respectively. 

This will be the first game of the season for the Marlins. Virginia Wesleyan finished 8-18 a season ago, which was their inaugural season as well. Entering this year, the Marlins checked in at third in the ODAC preseason poll. VWU returns key starters Landon Brinkley, Matthew Sheppard, and JaMarhe Wills. 

Following this affair, Lynchburg will have a pair of road games this weekend in Ashland, beginning with Messiah on Friday, Jan 24.
