Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg men's volleyball team (4-6) travels to Ashland for an ODAC matchup against Randolph Macon (8-4) on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m.
The Yellow Jackets are amidst a seven-game winning streak. In their most recent match, Randolph-Macon took down Virginia Wesleyan in five sets. While they picked up a critical conference win on the road, it was the first time in six games they had lost a set.
The Yellow Jackets are the best-serving team in the ODAC, averaging 2.1 aces/set. Ian Wagenhauser leads the team and conference with .91 aces/set. The sophomore outside hitter, Wagenhauser, has been an explosive element of the Yellow Jacket offense, tallying a team-high three kills/set.
Defensively, RMC is extremely talented at the net. The Yellow Jackets have recorded 75 total blocks this season. Kody Rogan has been a defensive achor this season, already taking home one ODAC defensive player of the week award.
Lynchburg enters this affair off of back-to-back losses last weekend, falling 0-3 to EMU and 2-3 to Regent. Through three conference games, the Hornets have gone 1-2. Middle Hitter
Bryce Jackson leads the conference in hitting percentage at .364.
Nick Redding sits in the top five in the ODAC for kills, averaging 2.82 kills/set.
The Hornets will have a quick turnaround following this match. Lynchburg will travel to the nation's capital this Saturday, Feb. 15, for a doubleheader with Neumann and Gallaudet.
